Who am I?
My name is Dimo Sokratev.
I was born on January 13, 1977, in Varna, Bulgaria.
Today I live and create in Austria, developing my artistic journey across Europe.

Early Beginnings
From the age of twelve, I’ve been drawn to art - to the brush, the colors, the freedom to express what words cannot.
Self-taught, I discovered my own path, shaping my vision through instinct and emotion.

My Journey
In 1994, I began my artistic journey through tattooing - an art that demands courage, precision, and deep trust.
Working on skin taught me to think like a sculptor of emotion, to create images that are not only seen, but felt.
That same sensitivity and attention to detail later flowed naturally into my paintings, bringing each canvas to life.

My Experience
Since 2008, I’ve created both tattoos and paintings, blending traditional and modern techniques.
Over the years, I’ve participated in exhibitions and art events across Europe, including Vienna, and in 2024, I held my first solo exhibition at Gallery Graffit in Varna.

Emotion
My work reflects depth, emotion, and philosophy - where human forms meet light, sea, and memory.
Each painting begins with a real moment or feeling, then transforms through imagination into a personal story told in color and silence.
